BOOK I is basically comprised of the foods cooked at
our club. They are mostly Italian but also have a good
cross section of American standards from fish to
prime rib. It also includes a nice section on the
gastronomic history and trivia of ingredients as well
as some of the recipes. The wine and wine making
section has just enough information in it to impress
your guests and friends. At one time in my life I
started to like telling stories so, between extensive
world travel and growing up with the old folks there
are quite a few to amuse you between chopping and
cleaning up. 275 pages.
BOOK II has similar culinary history and wine
information, however, the recipes lean a little more
toward old world and family traditions. Of course with
this one we took advantage of our friends, family and
club members to put a package together that is
something a little different than much of the run of
the mill fare.
200 pages.
BOOK III also includes some of the basics of I & II and
the recipes are geared more toward seafood and
game. Living on the water much of my time here in
the north east the seafood is as fresh as it gets.
Imagine being on the docks and having a digger pull
up and handing you a bag of 400 count necks and
another with 50 -100 pounds of steamers taken from
the water just hours ago. And my son calling me at 1:
00 AM and telling me to put on the water because he’
s coming in with a dozen freshly plucked lobsters.
240 pages.
BOOK IV similar to the above books but this one has
it all. It is a compiling of many of the above recipes
plus. With this one you may never need another
cookbook. On second thought, I don’t know anyone
that has only one cookbook???
As a matter of fact, I have about 300 myself. I do not
think there is a chef out there that doesn’t have a
stack of cookbooks. 400 + pages.
BOOK V This book was put together for the fish and
game market. It is a proposal that we hope to pitch in
the near future. Just about everything in the book
from appetizers to soup to pasta has a seafood or
game twist to it. And yes, there some dishes in here
that are just down right good stuff to eat (the things I
like).
There has also been some interest expressed for
some hands–on cooking segments after each show.
125 pages.
BOOK VI this is a new one I have been working for
single guy’s and single dad’s. You want to feed the
kids quick so you can run out, this is the book. You
want to impress that hot date that is coming over for
dinner, this is the book. Our target for this
publication is the supper market chains. A gift basket
with the book and some of the ingredients for some
of the recipes. 100 recipes.
All publications have a nice selection of pictures and the recipes have that hands on attitude.
The commentary has that sit down and relax feeling that will amuse you for hours. So make a drink, and
light a cigar and don’t get scared if it gets you into that second cocktail??
